Thursday, May 22, 2008 What is Co-parenting? Men and women parent differently. It is essential for a child to have both a mother and a father in his/her life. Traditionally, men are the coaches and the weekend fathers while women are the cooks, housekeepers and chauffeurs. This is changing. Men go to the PTA meetings and take children to day care. Women have become the breadwinners. Co-parenting means being flexible to take on untraditional duties and roles. Good co-parenting means being unselfish and minimizing conflicts. |
